I have not raised my prices since 2015 but I now must reluctantly raise the price this year from $60 to $65. Inflation has finally forced the price hike. I have raised my production of the 2021 pinot to 225 cases, from 200 cases in 2020, which was the smallest production since 1997. This allows me to use only the best blocks available to me and I think you will notice a difference. I realize you have many options and I appreciate that you consider Castalia a quality buy. The more people that order the wine from me, the longer I can hold my price. So please tell a friend.

The 2021 Vintage had an ideal growing season, giving the wine a perfect balance of acid and sugar, with bright fruit tones of dark cherry and cola with a full, rich and deep mouth feel. As with all my pinots, the 2021 has a long lingering finish that leaves you craving more. I am happy to say that the Rochioli Vineyards have produced an exceptional wine in 2021. One of the top 5 I have made.

I have always said that you don't have to finish the bottle because the wine tastes better the next day. I have tried the wine after 3 days and it was still drinking well. With a PH of 3.5, it won't hit its prime for 7 to 8 years. I have been drinking them after 15 years and they are still delightful, so the longer you wait to drink it the better it will be

I am proud of the consistent quality of each vintage largely due to the fact that the Rochioli vineyards are the source for each one. Only three wineries besides Rochioli are allowed to put Rochioli vineyards on the label and I am extremely happy to say I am one of them.
